Not only does it look amazing on my kitchen side (very snazzy and modern), it fires out great heat and in return cooks some really tasty meals! We tried the grill out with chicken, steak, fish and other vegetables. Cooked to perfection every time! It’s easy to clean, just removing the tray at the bottom. I would definitely recommend this to anybody. It’s a mini BBQ in your kitchen without the masses of smoke and condensation. It really is a great buy!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get my Philips smokeless grill. The product arrived and I felt there was too much packaging in the box. I unpacked it and gave it a wipe down with a damp cloth so it was ready to use. I was looking forward to using the grill as my wife doesn't like the smoke and splatter you get from conventional cooking. I have used it on 3 occasions, first to cook steak, secondly to cook burgers, and thirdly to cook gammon. The steak was sirloin and of a reasonable quality. I heated the grill for 6 minutes, and popped the steaks on. I would normally move the steaks about in a pan, but I wanted to get those nice lines on them. I cooked them for 3 minutes either side and as you can see from the pics, they were cooked to perfection. Lovely and juicy as well. Really healthy as all the fat dropped through to the bottom and no smoke at all. The burgers were thick quarter pound burgers, so I was looking forward to trying the grill out on these. Again, loved the grill lines on them and the fact all the fat dropped through to the capture tray at the bottom. The grill cooked them spot on, and again tasted great. The gammon was a little more challenging, but I put this down to the fact that they were of a poorer quality from a supermarket. They contained a lot of added water(I think) and thus produced a lot of liquid. The grill handled it no problem though and again no smoke to shout of. We also popped some pineapple on to grill with the gammon and it complimented it really well. All in all I would highly recommend the Philips Smokless Grill. Its is really going to help me on my journey to lose 7 stone as I am training for the Great North Run in September.

It’s so straightforward and easy to use you really any go wrong. It’s pretty much splash proof and makes coking certain things really enjoyable and not at all like a chore that needs doing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Philips indoor smokeless grill was intriguing. Can an indoor grill really deliver on the taste and texture of proper barbecued meats - indoors? The grill utilizes infrared heat technology to create a 400°F cooking surface, and a clever reflector system that directs the heat to and ONLY to the grill plate. You know what it's like, you decide to have a BBQ with friends and family. Go shopping for the meat and other accompaniments and the weather is glorious. The birds are singing, butterflies dancing around the garden and it's so warm...then you get the grill out and the heavens open. The Philips indoor smokeless grill leaves nothing to chance and lets you cook some absolutely delicious foods, with minimal smoke and all the taste. I've tested all manner of meats on the grill and of all, steak's my favourite. The char marks are deep and flavourful, the meat's left tender, juicy and pleasurable to eat. Chicken breast is lovely, too - but boneless thighs I didn't like. Whilst they were cooked through, they just weren’t to my liking. I like crisp fat on the thighs, a bit of resistance on the meat and lots and lots of salt and pepper all over them. The manual advises to preheat the grill prior to use, I found that it really needs at LEAST 10-15 minutes before putting your food on. The sizzle is audible and pleasing and the aromas of meat and corn grilling is fabulous. The product isn't 100% smoke free, but I would hazard a guess at it achieving at least 90%. The way that the grill achieves this is that it directs the fat and cooking juices into a collection tray at the bottom, away from the heat source. This would normally sit in a pan or drip onto coals, causing the smoke as it gets hotter and hotter. To clean, all you do is remove the grill from the top, drippings tray from the bottom and wipe clean. Anything stubborn is easily cleaned off, thanks to the very good quality non-stick coating and the tray is small enough to fit in the sink or dishwasher. The reflector parts of the grill though are a different matter and are harder to clean, as you cannot remove them from the system itself. A shame, because I imagine that after a while, the fats and meat juices will spoil the stainless-steel finish and dull the surface. Whilst the Philips smokeless grill will never replace a BBQ, in terms of taste - it comes very close. The only real negative I can think of is that it doesn't actually have that BIG of a surface to cook on.

Bought this early December because I fancied the idea of a winter BBQ. Didn't really expect it to be as good as the real thing but I'm happy to be wrong!! Once you get used to the slight glare from the infra red heating elements, the rest is a breeze. Food is cooked evenly and has a genuine BBQ singe to it. Very easy to use and just as easy to clean. As near to smokeless as it can get, I has no issues whatsoever using it in front of guests in the dining room - I suspect they may be ordering one for themselves as I speak. **Only one thing to bear in mind - REMEMBER TO PURCHASE A TRANSFORMER before using the grill as the voltage in the USA is half of that UK. It's worth the extra expense as you will find nothing that comes close to this aside from a full blown BBQ***

Ich bin echt erstaunt, wie zuverlässig man mit diesem Tischgrill Speisen aller Art zubereiten kann. Egal, ob Würste, Steaks, vegetarische Würste, Grillcamembert und sogar gefrorene Maiskolben. Hiermit lässt sich allres lecker mit schönen Grillstreifen versehen grillen. Leider leuchtet der Grill sehr grell-Rot, wenn er noch leer ist, so dass man eine Sonnenbrille braucht. Auch geruchsmäßig merkt man ihn sehr deutlich in Innenräumen, aber er qualmt tatsächlich nur wenig. Allerdings produziert das Gerät auch einiges an Abwärme.
